Ontario series #8

Ottawa

Paper piecing - either you hate it or you love it. I used to hate it now I don't mind it, ever since I became acquainted with the freezer paper method. It's easier, faster and less wasteful than the traditional method.

The blocks in my Ontario series of quilts are sewn using a combination of paper piecing and regular piecing.
The Ottawa block is sewn from three strips that are paper pieced. Paper piecing makes it easy to do the odd angles.

Here's what the Ottawa block looks like when I play with the colors and the setting.

  1. Very cool! You can sure get a lot of different looks from this one block. Have a super day!
